Day of Timeline for a Wedding at the Banff Springs Fairmont Hotel

8:00 am - Wake up

whaaaat that really says an 8am wakeup! yes, yes it does.

Picture this, your alarm goes off and you check your phone and all of your friends and family are sending you love on the greatest day of your life. This day is all about you and the love of your life so lets make it perfect.

This is your time to have a shower and get ready for brunch.

9:30am - Breakfast

What better what to spend the morning than with your closest people. Brunch is always a must and around Banff there are SO many unique eats. I have provided a link to my top brunch locations:

11:00am - Getting Ready

You come back to your hotel room where you’ll meet your makeup and hair team. This is the perfect time for me to arrive (typically around 11:30) as your hair is well underway and I can start on those fine details.

Once your make-up and hair is almost complete I will snap a few quick shots and then from this point on is when we get creative with what YOU want!

But get this, If the men think that they’re left out during all of this planning, how would they feel waking up at 8:00am to play nine holes of golf followed by coffee and breakfast at the clubhouse. That means you’ll be back to the hotel at 12:30 and we all know you’ll be ready in one hour.

1:30pm - Adventure

Lets say you want to see your love before the wedding. This is the perfect opportunity to enjoy each other in a secluded place. That’s why I have provided three easy walks that will show BREATHTAKING views:

3:30pm - Ceremony

The two of you get tucked away up in the loft as you peak out and see all of your guests already seated. It’s finally time to get escorted down the isle and exchange your vows as they echo across the mountain peaks. It’s like it all happened within a blink of an eye. The tears, the happiness, the relief. This is when you see how it was all worth it. Here are the Ceremony Location Options:

  • Banff Springs Golf Course - Max. 90 Guests

  • Outdoor Terrace - Max. 220 Guests

  • Mt. Stephen Hall- Max. 120 Guests

5:00 - Cocktail Hour

At the beautiful Fairmont, you can enjoy cocktail hour within the same space as your Ceremony. Everyone surrounds you with all of their happiness and you enjoy a mocktail or a cocktail. Charcuterie is a huge hit, because who doesn’t love feeling bougee eating fancy cheese int he middle of the mountains?

6:30 - Dinner + Speeches

The Fairmont provides many options on where you would like to host your dinner. I have listed three below that will blow your guests away. This will of course depend on your party size, but lucky for you I have included that information below:

9:00- First Dance

The soft strains of a carefully chosen song envelop the room, setting the stage for a heartfelt and intimate connection between the bride and groom. In this mesmerizing dance, they move together as one, swaying to the rhythm of their love story. Their smiles convey a profound happiness, their gaze locked in a tender embrace. It's a moment of unity, symbolizing not only the joining of two lives but also the promise to support and cherish each other through every step of their shared journey. The wedding first dance is a magical and unforgettable start to a lifetime of love and togetherness.

Now it’s time to fully enjoy the rest of your evening dancing your night away and feeling all of the emotions that have built up during the day. There is no itinerary for the remainder of the day so you just go with the flow and thank each and every special person that made it to your most magical day/
